This is done via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/get-document-legalised\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> their website.<\/a><\/li><li>The <strong>translated version<\/strong> of the [legalized] Certificate of No Impediment.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>These documents then need to be submitted to your chosen town hall in Italy where you wish for your wedding to take place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are an <b>American citizen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the requirements are slightly different. You will need:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To obtain the <strong>Atto Notorio<\/strong>. You should request this from your nearest Italian Embassy or Consulate in the United States.<\/li><li>Get the Nulla Osta from the U.S. consulate in Italy. fundamental document for foreigners getting married in Italy, and it must be sworn within Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To obtain it, you will need to apply at your country\u2019s consulate in
